Notice of the relocation

 

From 24th April 2026 we are delighted to tell you that we will be moving from our current location at 249 Garratt Lane to a newly built, three storey state of the art health centre on the corner of Garratt Lane and Swaffield Road, just next door to our current building.

The address of the new premises is: Brocklebank Health Centre, 233 Garratt Lane, Wandsworth, SW18 4DU.

There will be no change to opening hours and no change to practice staff.

We are very excited about this move as it will allow us to offer you an even wider range of services.

As well as the benefit of new purpose-built premises, it will offer improved facilities for patients including improved accessibility, a spacious waiting area, disabled facilities, baby changing room and modern facilities throughout. The GPs and staff are all very much looking forward to welcoming patients into the new environment.

Please be assured that you will not need to do anything because of this relocation. You will remain registered with the practice and can continue to access the services as you usually would. The telephone number will also remain the same.

Important dates:

  • Friday 24th April 2026 2pm - current building will close.
  • Monday 27th April 2026 at 2pm – new surgery will open.

The practice remains well served by 44 and 270 bus routes and there is pay and display car parking available in the adjoining side roads.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) 

Why is Brocklebank Practice moving to new premises?

Brocklebank Practice is located within the Atheldene Regeneration Scheme, and the current premises requires significant improvements and modernisation. The regeneration scheme has provided the opportunity of a newly built facility 50 metres to the north and within the same section of the street. The new site will provide modern premises for the Brocklebank Practice and community health services.

Do I need to do anything to as a result of the move?

No – all patients will remain registered with Brocklebank Practice, and you can continue to access services as you usually would. The telephone number will also remain the same.

However, the current premises will close from 2pm on Friday 24th April with the new premises opening from 2pm on Monday 27th April. Please note that there will be an out of hours service providing cover from 2pm - 6.30pm on Friday 24th April and 8am - 2pm on Monday 27th April, providing urgent appointments only, with normal service expected to resume from 2pm on Monday 27th April. You can call the surgery as normal during these times.

Do I need to do anything to make sure I continue to get my regular medication?

No - if you take regular medication, there will be no change to the way you order and receive your medication. You can continue to order online via the NHS app or by contacting Brocklebank Practice. However, we recommend that you ensure you have sufficient medication covering the period of the practice move, to avoid any risk of delays in processing medication requests during this time. Please contact the practice if you have any queries relating to this.

Will it still be possible to see the same GPs and nurses when the practice moves? 

Yes, there will be no changes to the staffing with all staff moving to the new premises.

Will opening hours be the same at Brocklebank Practice?

Yes, the opening hours will remain the same and there will be no changes to the provision of services.

How can I get to Brocklebank Practice? 

The full address of the new surgery is Brocklebank Health Centre, 233 Garratt Lane, Wandsworth, SW18 4DU. The practice remains well served by the 44 or 270 bus routes. There is also ample car parking in the adjoining side roads pay and display.

How will housebound and vulnerable patients be seen?

Patients who are housebound will continue to receive home visits as long as they are within the catchment area of our practice. The practice will ensure that all vulnerable and housebound patients are supported during this change. However, if you do have any concerns, please contact the practice on 020 3818 8270.

What support is available for patients with mobility issues?

If you require assistance the staff at Brocklebank Practice will assist you.
